Learning with Leffers

  It's February and that means it is ISTEP+ time!!  Each day this week our class has taken a small section of the Practice ISTEP+ Test.  Practice ISTEP+ is a great way for students to become familiar with the format of the paper-and-pencil test.  We've discussed and answered numerous questions about the test format and structure.   Next week we will take the actual paper-and-pencil test.  Fifth graders will take ISTEP+ Mathematics, Language Arts (reading/writing), and Social Studies.   We are looking forward to showing what we know on this year's test.   For more information on ISTEP+, please visit the IDOE website .  Here you will find test item samplers and a video on recent updates to the test.   If you have any questions about this year's test, please contact me.    Mrs. L

Our party is just a few days away.  The annual CE Valentine Party will be held on Friday starting at 1:30.  All parents are welcome to attend and join in on the festivities.   Your child may bring in valentine cards this week to place in mailboxes.  Please see your child's class list for names.
